Cengiz Dervis a former professional fighter (kickboxing / martial arts champion) who whilst competing trained as an actor initially in London followed by classes, courses and workshops in Paris, New York and LA. Cengiz learned his craft working in students films and fringe theatre before taking the lead in a number of award winning festival short films and continues to work on the craft with coaches in the UK and US when not on a project.
Cengiz now with a growing slate of features to his name in key and leading roles including legendary hit-man ‘Mr Gallo’ in feature ‘Retribution’ and ‘John West’ an elite black ops special forces soldier with amnesia in feature ‘By Any Name’ which script was adapted from a best selling book of the same name by writer Katherine John. 2016 saw Cengiz join the cast of the epic new US TV series ‘Knightfall’ filming in Croatia and Prague by A+E Networks and the History Channel.
Cengiz prides himself on bringing the best of his acting capabilities and blending it with the best of his physicality (extensive unarmed, armed martial arts background and a martial arts master). This blend gives him the ability to bring a very real and powerful reality to the roles he plays.
Back in 2011 Cengiz launched ‘Fight Me Productions’ and as a producer, writer has to date created and starred in four award award winning short films, written and released a few books and has collaborated with screenwriters on a number of original feature scripts, two of which have game concepts outlined and huge commercial potential.
Over the last few years Cengiz has started to receive nominations and awards for his work as an actor, producer and writer including being nominated in 2015 for ‘Male Action Performer of The Year’ for a collection of works and 2016 ‘Breakout Action Star’ for feature ‘Retribution’ in LA.
Back in 2011 Cengiz launched ‘Fight Me Productions’ and in 2015 was selected in The Top 100 Indie Filmmakers in the World. As a published writer of books and scripts Cengiz has a growing slate of works, including: ‘The DRAKE Files’ the first of three 280 page graphic novels ‘Jengito’ his children book series and a number of other short and feature film scripts at various stages at: ‘Fight Me Productions’
